According to a study by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this deficiency could seriously endanger the energy transition in Germany. By 2030, a need for 500,000 specialists for the expansion of renewable energies such as solar and wind energy will be forecast, as reported by the Tagesschau. These are alarming numbers that show that the transformation of our energy supply does not stop at the door, but urgently needs support from well -trained specialists.

The challenges are diverse. Around 250 professions must be trained to convert the energy infrastructure, and around 560,000 employees will be missing across industries by 2035. The DIHK has called for practical professional orientation to promote and offer additional qualifications in the dual training system.
