Lörrach: suspicious exhibitionist on the train on the run!

on Sunday evening, June 1st, there was an incident in the S 5 from Schopfheim to Lörrach that caused a sensation. The federal police have initiated an investigation into exhibitionist acts and is now looking for a presumably damaged woman. The suspicion is directed against a 52-year-old German who was on the train in an orange T-shirt and a hat. The managing people report that the man has not only exposed himself to a 14-year-old German citizen, but also in front of an unknown woman. This finally removed from the train at the Lörrach-Schwarzwaldstraße stop. The authorities expect the unknown woman who had a red, shoulder-free top, black pants and black and white sneakers that she reports to the federal police on 07628/80 59 0 to give further information.

What exactly can you understand by exhibitionism? According to anwalt.de it is a sexual preference in which people expose or show sexual actions. It is important to note that this is considered a sexual crime without the consent of the audience. The legal framework for exhibitionism is anchored in § 183 of the Criminal Code (StGB) and makes it clear that such actions can only be committed by men. Women who show similar behavior, on the other hand, commit “excitement of public annoyance”.

Intervention and legal consequences

In the investigation, the federal police point out that exhibitionism is usually only pursued as a crime of application. This means that law enforcement only occurs if the victim files a complaint - unless there is a public interest in persecution, as in this case. The criminal offense is fulfilled if the genitals are made visible and the action is perceived sexually. Negative sensations such as fear or disgust must be available, which can make it difficult to react appropriately to such behavior.

The penalties for exhibitionist acts are possible from fines to prison sentences of up to one year. It should also be noted that the action requires an interaction between at least two people, such as stern-strafrecht.de. Easy nude or urinating are not part of it.

The investigation of the incident could help prevent similar actions in the future. The police hope that the woman you are looking for will quickly report to possibly provide further information. Anyone who is observed or affected this type of incidents should not hesitate to report this.
