Vandalism shock in Mannheim: Franklin Mitte stop destroyed!
Another case of vandalism was reported in the city of Mannheim on Friday evening, June 28, 2025. At around 11 p.m., an unknown perpetrator damaged the “Franklin Mitte” tram stop on Thomas-Jefferson-Straße. A pane of glass was deliberately broken, causing the glass insert to shatter. An alert resident noticed the incident and immediately informed the police. However, the perpetrator managed to escape and was vaguely described as a male wearing a white muscle shirt. The material damage caused has not yet been precisely quantified, as RNZ reports.
The Mannheim-Käfertal police station has started the investigation and is asking witnesses to call 0621/71849-0. This is not the first incident in the region that has brought the security situation in Mannheim into focus.
Vandalism in Mannheim
On the night of April 18, 2025 to April 19, 2025, there was another massive vandalism attack in Mannheim in the Vogelstang district. A total of 63 cars were damaged there between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. The perpetrators kicked or knocked off the side mirrors of 19 cars and punctured the tires of 44 vehicles on several streets, including Freiberger Ring and Dresdner Straße. A sharp object about 11 mm wide was probably used. Here too, the Mannheim-Käfertal police station is asking for information from victims or witnesses.
