Drunk driver in Künzelsau: repeatedly behind the wheel!

On Saturday morning, the police were on duty in Künzelsau when they became aware of a 44-year-old who was driving drunk from Belsenberg to Künzelsau. The first information was received around 8:30 a.m., prompting the emergency services to take immediate action. The man was spotted and spoken to a short time later in a supermarket parking lot on Würzburger Strasse.

During the check, the driver initially gave false personal details and claimed that he had arrived on a bicycle. In fact, his bike was at his home address. When asked, he finally gave his real name, and a breath alcohol test revealed an alarming level of over 1.6 per mille. This was not only a worrying situation, but also a significant exceedance of the legal alcohol limit, which leads to absolute inability to drive from 1.1 per mille. From 1.6 per mille, a medical-psychological examination (MPU) is also mandatory, as the ADAC information explains.

Rapid intervention by the police

The 44-year-old was then taken to hospital to have a blood sample taken. The key to his vehicle was confiscated. During the investigation, the man reported losing his driver's license, which led to a search of his car and home. On Sunday afternoon, around 12 p.m., he picked up his vehicle keys at the Künzelsau police station. It was once again made clear to him that he was no longer allowed to drive vehicles that required a driving license.

However, the situation took a contradictory turn: just a few minutes later, the newly banned driver was spotted behind the wheel of his vehicle again. Shortly before his home address, the police checked him again, which resulted not only in drunk driving but also in driving without a license. A clear case of unreasonable behavior that could endanger other road users, remember the facts about alcohol limits.

The dangers of drunk driving

Drunk driving is not only a legal problem, but it also endangers the lives of others. As little as 0.3 per mille is considered relative inability to drive, and values between 0.5 and 1.09 per mille result in fines and points in Flensburg. Even in the event of an accident under the influence of alcohol, the insurance company can refuse payments and demand recourse of up to 5,000 euros, as the ADAC information makes clear.

For the 44-year-old man from Künzelsau, the consequences of his actions are now serious. The driving ban imposed on him following the incident will not only severely restrict his mobility, but could also have legal consequences. We will probably only find out in the coming weeks whether a pattern will become established here.

An exciting story from Künzelsau that shows how quickly everything can fall apart if you don't pay attention to your health and safety regulations. Hopefully this is the final warning shot for this driver to be smarter about drinking and driving.
