Two accidents on the B14: Chaos between Waiblingen and Fellbach!

On Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025, there were two accidents on the B14 between Waiblingen-Süd and Fellbach-Süd, which significantly affected the flow of traffic. The first accident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. and resulted in a traffic jam that extended to the divider between B14 and B29 and on the western bypass in Waiblingen. Two vehicles were involved in each of the two accident scenes, which were unsecured on the hard shoulder in the direction of Stuttgart, which made the whole situation even more dangerous, as zvw.de reports.

The incident that took place the day before, November 17, 2025, on the B14 between Leutenbach and Backnang is particularly explosive. There, two older men drove in a silver car against the direction of travel, causing a lot of excitement. The driver initially parked his vehicle in a layby in front of the Leutenbacher Tunnel before turning around and driving in the opposite direction to the direction of traffic towards Backnang. Several drivers had to suddenly brake or swerve to avoid a collision, which significantly increased the danger for all road users. According to eyewitnesses, they were two gray-haired men who were noticed by another driver who flashed his headlights in good time. The police are now urgently looking for more witnesses, especially the driver who warned with the lights. Information can be given to the Winnenden police station on 07195/6940, as on Stuttgarter News can be read.

Traffic insecurity and backlogs

The recent incidents on the B14 once again illustrate the potential dangers that can arise from careless road users. The described wrong-way trip of the two men and the following accidents are not only a wake-up call for motorists, but also for the authorities, who should review safety precautions on this busy route. Traffic jams and dangerous situations are commonplace, especially when road users do not follow traffic rules.

The situation today and the events on Sunday are representative of what can happen on our streets every day. Road safety should be everyone's priority and such incidents must be taken seriously to avoid worse consequences in the future. The call to our fellow citizens is therefore: be attentive and help make our streets safer.
