Annual excursion to Radolfzell: Experience Lake Constance and Rhine Falls!

Radolfzell am Bodensee, Deutschland - A good day for shared experiences is imminent! On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the local association onstmettingen of the VdK social association invites you to an exciting annual trip to Radolfzell, the Mettnau peninsula and the impressive Rhine Falls. This excursion is aimed not only at members, but also to friends, patrons and everyone who wants to have a nice trip.

The departure is planned at 8 a.m. at the Onstmettinger Riedschule. The physical well -being is also taken care of: in the Hotel "K99" in Radolfzell, the participants can expect a delicious breakfast buffet on the 8th floor with a breathtaking view over the city and Lake Constance. After the breakfast we continue to the Mettnau peninsula, where the guests have the opportunity to visit the Mettnau tower, enjoy walks and experience nature around Lake Constance.

a natural spectacle of a special kind

The Mettnau peninsula, which is located east of Radolfzell in the Konstanz district, measures impressive 3.5 km in length and width. Most of the peninsula is designated as a nature reserve, which was already under protection in Germany in 1926. On 140 hectares there are not only a variety of plants, but also an important breeding ground for water birds. In the period from April to August, the top of the peninsula remains closed to visitors so that animals can develop undisturbed here.

After the exploration on the peninsula, the trip continues to lead the participants to the impressive Rhine Falls in Neuhausen in Switzerland. Here you have the opportunity to experience a 30-minute shipping entitled "Enjoyment of the Rhenish Amazon". On this tour you get very tightly the thunderous water masses before there is leisure time to explore the Rhine Falls Promenade.

The day decides on a dinner together in the "Scharf Eck" restaurant in Fridingen on the Danube, where the participants can review their exciting day. The travel price is 89 euros per person who covers everything from the modern bus ride to the breakfast buffet to shipping to the Rhine Falls.
