Referee in Baden-Württemberg: An important role

Referees play an indispensable role in football operations. There are currently around 1,400 prudent referees in the Southwest German Football Association. These are in action almost every week to coordinate game operations in different leagues and classes and to ensure that the games are played fairly. It is urgently necessary to continue to train many referees in order to ensure that all games have neutral decisions. Consequently, newbie courses like the one in Alzey-Worms are an essential measure to meet the ever-growing demand, as SWFV.de emphasizes.

As part of the training, participants learn the most important basics of football regulations, which are conveyed through intensive training and exchanges with experienced referees. The feedback from the clubs is consistently positive. Many complain that sports clubs could become more involved in recruiting referees in order to find more interested members

International standards and local training

At the international level, FIFA is strengthening the training and further education of referees. Referee training programs are continually being improved, which has a positive impact on the quality of officiating. This is in line with FIFA's goals, which are also intended to have a positive influence on regional and national football. In this context, FIFA emphasizes that competent referees not only apply the rules of the game consistently, but also act as important protective authorities for the players.

In summary, it can be said that the new referee course in the Alzey-Worms football district is not only a great opportunity for sports enthusiasts, but is also an important contribution to ensuring a fair and respectful playing culture in football. Therefore: If you have a good knack for managing the game or just want to try something new, you should definitely register!
