SWR opens pop-up studio: 25 years of reporting in the Main-Tauber district!

A very special anniversary is just around the corner: Südwestrundfunk (SWR) is celebrating 25 years of its correspondent office in the Main-Tauber district. On the occasion of this celebratory occasion, a pop-up studio will be opened in Bad Mergentheim, giving citizens the opportunity to take part in journalism up close. The SWR Pop Up Studio at Gänsmarkt 12 will open from July 14th to 25th, 2025 daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of Sunday, July 20th, 2025. Under the motto "SWR. Very close." Visitors can look over the shoulders of reporters at their work, ask questions and find out more about the reporting from the region op online.

In this creative space, reporters will relocate their workstations to research and produce on-site. The studio will also offer a presentation corner that provides a deeper insight into SWR's journalistic work.

Creative events and excursion tips

A special highlight will be the premiere of a new Bad Mergentheim excursion tip, which is being launched by the “SWR Outdoorliebe” initiative. In this way, the SWR awakens interest in the region and invites people to discover the beautiful sides of Bad Mergentheim.
