Poetic frequencies: India meets Heidelberg and Karlsruhe!
Heidelberg, Deutschland - On July 1, 2025, a particularly cultural event will be celebrated in Heidelberg and Karlsruhe. The "Poetic Frequencies" residence series, initiated by the ZKM | Hertzlab in Karlsruhe and the UNESCO literature city Heidelberg will start. This unique event will bring international artists from the UNESCO Cities of Literature network to the two cities every two years. Dr. Gopi, who has been writing poetry in Malayalam and English for more than 30 years and teaches at a university in Kerala, combines traditional art with contemporary media and language art. In doing so, it places a special focus on female perspectives in patriarchal societies. Their extraordinary achievements were recognized with more than 50 awards, including the respected Kerala State Sahitya Akademi Kanakasree Award.
