Celebrate in Bietigheim-Bissingen: handball, art and fishing festival united!

Bietigheim-Bissingen, Deutschland - Last weekend there was something going on in Bietigheim-Bissingen! There was a celebration in various districts three times, and the citizens had numerous activities to choose from. The traditional Göckelesfest already started his this year. 61. Families and friends came under the walnut tree to enjoy the atmosphere together and test the culinary offer.

What was there delicious? Of course, the tasty göckele, but also vegetarian dishes and cool long drinks were very well received. Friday was all about the everyone's handball tournament, in which both active players and alumni were able to demonstrate their skill. On Saturday there was an internal mini -game day on which the youngest of SG BBM could gain their first gaming experience.

Another highlight was the art project "Bietigheim-Bissingen and his Xplacestobe", which was initiated by the artist Doris Graf. The citizens were invited to draw their favorite place in the city and to share their thoughts. This will be shown in the municipal gallery from October 2025. On Sunday, an invitation tournament of the female and male C-youth formed the crowning glory of the festival weekend and kept the young talents busy.

But that wasn't all! On the same weekend, the fishing festival of the Bissingen-Enz fishing association also took place in the Untermberg district. Regional fish specialties such as freshly smoked trout and shrimp skewers were waiting for the guests in the picturesque ambience at the Fischerhütte on the bike path. Felix Schäfer, the chairman of the association, expressed his thanks to helpers and supporters - a successful festival that strengthened the community.

Bietigheim-Bissingen also celebrates another important event: 100 years of handball! For the first time, the field handball game was played on May 1, 1924. The anniversary home game of the SG-BBM men against TV Großwallstadt will take place on February 10, 2024 in the EGETRANS Arena, on the occasion of which special promotions are planned for fans and players, including a limited jersey edition.
