A 20-year-old man from Bad Boll is causing a stir in the Göppingen region. The police arrested the young man in an acquaintance's apartment and charged him with several robberies. The arrest took place on Wednesday of the previous week, but the information was not released until Tuesday SWR reported.
The investigation lasted a week and ultimately led to the arrest of the suspect. When searching his apartment, the officers discovered an airsoft pistol and cash in the low four-digit range. The young man is said to have admitted all four crimes he was accused of and is now in custody.
The robberies in detail
The incidents that the 20-year-old is accused of include an attack on a snack bar in Bad Boll at the end of September. Here the perpetrator came with a fake weapon and stole cash. Another robbery took place at a gas station in Göppingen-Jebenhausen at the beginning of October. The clerk refused to hand over money because he realized it was not a real weapon.
On the same day there was also a failed attempt to rob a bakery within a supermarket. This plan failed, but a few weeks later the suspect managed a successful robbery at the same bakery. He pushed an employee aside and stole a bag containing the day's takings.
