Breizh Sky wins the Corpus Christi race in Cologne - at full speed to Baden-Baden!

Exciting races were on the program on Corpus Christi race day in Weidenpescher Park in Cologne. The main race of the day, the Cölner Hofbräu Früh Grand Prix, attracted numerous horse fans and provided exciting moments on the track. With prize money of 25,000 euros and a distance of 1,400 meters, the race was not only a highlight for the participants, but also for the spectators. The French sprinter was among the nine horses that started Breizh Sky with jockey Adrie de Vries, who was the favorite to become the impressive winner.

Breizh Sky started with odds of 2.5:1 and confidently beat its competition. The trainer Alessandro Botti is now planning to return to Baden-Baden with the ambitious stallion for the Golden Whip, which is fueling the hopes of the fan base. Henk Grewe, trainer of Shootout, who took second place, was disappointed, but praised the fighting spirit of his horse, which fought hard until the end.

A celebration for the whole family

The event not only attracted horse lovers, but also offered a colorful supporting program for the whole family. In the Weidenpescher Park Visitors were able to enjoy a varied program from 1:30 p.m. and the first race, which started at 2:00 p.m. Free attractions such as pony rides, puppet shows and football darts ensured the children had a lot of fun. In addition, families were able to take souvenir photos with the mascot Galoppi or try out face painting.

The after race open air party, which took place in the Weidenbiergarten from around 5:30 p.m., rounded off the day. With DJ Tobi Xander and a selection of wine and champagne packages that offered a convivial end, the festival was a complete success. The packages, which could be picked up at the wine bar from 12:00 p.m., were very popular: you could buy a wine package for 69 euros and a champagne package for four people for 129 euros.

For the upcoming events in Cologne-Fühlingen, the Cologne city championship tests are also scheduled, which will be held by May 1st to 4th, 2025 will take place.
