Konstanz is taking part in CITY CYCLING until July 18, 2025, in order to cover everyday routes by bike in a climate-friendly way.
Halfway through city cycling 2025: 500,000 kilometers for the climate!
In Konstanz and the district, the big cycling campaign CITY CYCLING 2025 has reached the halfway point! Since June 28th and until July 18th, the aim is to pedal hard and cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike. This year, the region is already impressively showing how much climate protection can be achieved with a simple click on the bike. With over 500,000 kilometers cycled, it is clear that the citizens in the region are really putting their foot down.
The aim of the campaign is to reduce climate-damaging emissions and raise awareness about switching to two-wheelers. Participation in CITY CYCLING is not only free, but also offers everyone the opportunity to get involved - whether in a team or solo. It's easy to register via the website stadtradeln.de/konstanz. Here the kilometers can be entered manually or conveniently tracked using GPS using the city cycling app.
Who can participate?
The offer is aimed at everyone: friends, colleagues, pupils and students can take part together or alone. Every kilometer counts, regardless of the type of bike - it doesn't matter whether it's a racing bike, e-bike or cargo bike.
Last year there was already a remarkable success: Over 1,400 participants in Konstanz covered around 287,000 kilometers together and, thanks to their environmentally friendly transport, avoided around 48 tons of CO2 compared to traveling by car. This not only speaks for a healthy lifestyle, but also for a good hand when it comes to climate protection.
A call to participate
Use the last week of the campaign to actively participate in the environmentally friendly movement. It's not too late to start a team or join an existing one. The first successes are already visible, but with every additional kilometer the highlight of CITY CYCLING 2025 only becomes more tangible. Let's conquer the streets together and make a contribution to our green future.
