The AL25 is currently in the test phase, and the first driving tests were enthusiastic at the traffic watch in Ehingen (Alb-Donau-Kreis) on Monday. The car was controlled by Maurice Thalmann, a master's degree in the Systems Engineering and Management. With an innovative all -wheel drive and four engines that are mounted close to the bikes, the AL25 offers a striking improvement compared to the previous year's model.
insights into the collaboration
The Einstein Motorsport team consists of a total of 10 students, including two women and eight men. Together they count 70 members who work tirelessly on the project. a competition with class
The Formula Student is not only a construction competition, but a platform on which more than 1,000 teams worldwide demonstrate their skills. Here the self-made formula racing cars are not only evaluated in acceleration and lap time, but also with regard to criteria such as cost analysis, design and a fictional business plan. Teams have to give insights into their cost and manufacturing processes and bring their vehicle to the race track. For the Ulm team, the new season begins on the Formula 1 route in the Austrian Spielberg on July 20th.
Material costs and sponsors
The material costs for the new racing car amount to an impressive 80,000 euros, whereby the entire project is costs with over half a million euros. The students receive support from well -known sponsors such as Bosch and Siemens who help the team with financial means.

This practical experience complements the study in an exciting way and the students are optimally prepared for the challenges of industry.
A look at the coming season
With great enthusiasm and the urge to get the best out of their work, the students look at the upcoming competitions.
