New management team in the Ostalbkreis: Fischer and Wieser start!
In the last meeting of the district council on July 7, 2025, two new business unit managers were elected in a significant step for the administration of the Ostalb district. Peter Fischer and Vanessa Wieser will take over the management of the Information and Communication division as well as the municipal office. District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse warmly welcomes the new ladder and congratulates them on their new positions.Peter Fischer brings well -founded training as an administrative assistant. He passed the employee exam II at the Karlsruhe Administrative School and gained valuable experience in the communities of Spraitbach and Mutlangen. Most recently, he worked as the deputy head of the IT area of the district administration, where he dealt with the challenges of digitization.
Vanessa Wieser, the new force in the local office
There is also an exciting news from Vanessa Wieser. From October 2023 she will be the main office manager in Blaubeuren and thus takes over the post of Adrian Holl, who for family reasons leaves the administration. Wieser, who is 27 years old and comes from the Ostalb district, has an impressive background. She completed her Bachelor in Public Management and was a treasurer in Lauchheim for five years. There, among other things, she was responsible for the changeover of the budget bill to Doppik and the implementation of the digital package with schools.
During her time as a treasurer, she also took on the role of the registrar and carried out marriages at the Majestic Castle Kapfenburg. Through her experience, Wieser sees a change to the main office as a welcome step that corresponds to her "heart and soul", because she is committed to high goals and challenges.
The challenges of digitization
In the newly created role as head of the local office, Wieser will not only contribute her professional knowledge, but also her enthusiasm for digital topics. Digitization fundamentally changes the public service. In this way, new opportunities such as automated administrative processes and digital authorities are promoted in the federal administration.
