TG Biberach fights for vice title - tension up to the last minute!
With a lot of vigor and commitment, the gymnastics community Biberach (TG Biberach) started yesterday's competition day in Scheer to demonstrate its skills in gymnastics. The team, consisting of Isabel Herzig, Petra Bitterwolf, Finja Gerster, Stephanie Kolb and Marc, showed an impressive performance in their games, which was finally rewarded with the vice title. According to Schwäbischer Zeitung , the team started with a draw against the SGI Isny II, then appeared strongly and secured victories against BSC Laupheim (6: 2), SV Hitzkofen II (6: 0) and BSV Ulm (6: 0).
After the lunch break, the TG Biberach did not subside. Another victory against SGI ISNY I was 6-2 in her favor. In the highly awaited top duel against SV Hitzkofen I, two passionate fights then culminated in a 5: 5 difference. The last duel then went to Biberach. Despite an initial deficit of 2: 4 against SV Allenhausen, the team managed to fight back and to end the day with a 6: 4. Ultimately, they scraped five victories and two draws together, which brought them second place in the table, tied with SV Hitzkofen I, but just because of the better sentence difference.
successful participants in the Gaufinale
But that was not all the TG Biberach had to offer. On March 22nd and 23rd, 2025, the Gaufinale of the P levels took place in Ailingen in gymnastics, where the gymnasts of the association achieved remarkable placements. In the open class (C-Off), the team consisting of Amelie, Johanna, Laura, Marie, Lenja and Anna took 6th place. The debut of Laura and Marie, who contested their first competition and all gymnasts who competed for the first time in the open youth, was particularly gratifying.
In the C-youth, the team was able to secure the 3rd place of nine teams with Yi-Shuan, Marie, Emma, Jule, Anastasia and Lina and thus qualified for the district finals. Marie achieved the 3rd place and Lina 6th place in the individual ranking, which underlined her qualification for the district finals in singles. The D-youth also showed a pleasant performance with a 4th place, where Klara was even able to win the individual value victory and thus qualified for the district finale.
A look at the next challenges
The e-youth brought a newly formed group into the competition, which presented themselves among the coaches Alina Miller and Maja Kücha. Here, too, it was a weekend full of commitment and team spirit, even if the placements with a 7th and 13th place were not entirely according to plan. Not only the new lists and team dynamics found their place, but also the individual services were recognized.
Especially in gymnastics, a sport characterized by the long tradition, the TG Biberach has once again proven that it has a lot of fun and fun and at the same time mastered the high demands of sport. According to gymnastics100 , around 3.21 million Germans were interested in gymnastics in 2024 and the German Turner-Bund (DTB) is the second largest sports association in Germany with 4.6 million members-a clear sign that this sport is enthusiastic about more and more people.
In the coming weeks we can look forward to the other competitions of the TG Biberach, where there will certainly be exciting moments and outstanding achievements.
