Hit-and-run in Laupheim: Unknown man hits VW and just drives away!
On Wednesday, August 17, 2025, at around 6:15 p.m. there was a hit-and-run accident on the connecting path towards the Rißtal leisure area. A 19-year-old woman who was driving her VW Lupo was fortunately unharmed after a dangerous maneuver by another vehicle. Loud Swabian newspaper, a light-colored car with BC registration drove towards her in the curve area between a sports field and an allotment garden.
The older driver of this vehicle came across the middle of the road and created a dangerous situation. To avoid a collision, the 19-year-old stopped on the right side of the road as a precaution. Despite her precautions, the oncoming vehicle struck the left wing mirror and the left side of her VW Lupo. The person who caused the accident then continued his journey and left the young driver behind with an estimated damage of around 400 euros.
Police investigations
The police in Laupheim have already started investigating this incident and are urgently looking for the unknown driver. Witnesses who can provide information about what happened or the vehicle are asked to call 07392/96300. It remains to be hoped that information from the public will help bring the driver to justice.
At a time when traffic issues are becoming increasingly important, this incident shows how important mutual consideration is on the roads.
