New President Jochen Straub strengthens Lions Club Hockenheim and children's projects!
Hockenheim, Deutschland - A fresh wind blows through the Lions Club Hockenheim, because with Jochen Straub the club has a new president. The ENT doctor and founding member of the club accepted Axel Horn's official business, who looked back on a successful club year in his farewell speech. Under his leadership, numerous events, including the popular Hockenheim Advent and the Oktoberfest, were collected considerable donations. These flowed into various social projects, especially into the "Class 2000" program.

Eight school classes from Hockenheim, Altlußheim and Neulußheim are currently taking part.

Jochen Straub plans to continue the successful support of the “Class 2000” project and to promote other children's and youth facilities in the administrative community. "The improvement of the quality of life of children in our region is important to us," said Straub. The organization and financing of the program is the responsibility of the Lions Club, whereby the costs per class are 250 euros annually.
A highlight for the coming months will be a benefit comedy show with the well-known comedian Marco Rima, which will take place on November 2 in the Rolf-Heidemann-Halle in Neulußheim. Advance sales for the tickets are already going well and they are available at various sales outlets. This event could not only be an entertaining experience, but also a valuable opportunity to gain further funds for social projects.

The initiative of the new president, however, goes beyond Hockenheim's borders: The planned activities include a visit to the Lions Club in Cuxhaven and a visit to the state parliament in Stuttgart.
