Timo Eder: European Championship hero entered the golden book!

A big day for Timo Eder and the sports community in Ludwigsburg: After his impressive victory at the European Championships in the gymnastics, the 20-year-old athlete was honored on July 4, 2025 in the city hall. The Mayor Dr. Matthias Knecht accompanied the ceremonial entry in the city's Golden Book, a moment that Timos not only appreciates outstanding achievements, but also shows the attachment of the city with its top athlete.

Timo Eder, member of MTV Ludwigsburg, won the gold medal in the mixed team competition at the European Championships in Leipzig at the end of May 2025. He also expressed his talent on the bar in this competition and secured a bronze medal - with a performance that brought him 13,800 points and inevitably captivated the audience. He has established himself for his remarkable skills among the best gymnastics in Germany.

Timo Eder and the men's team

The German men's team, in which Timo Eder was active together with Andreas Toba, Nils Dunkel, Milan Hosseini and Dario Sissakis, took fourth place in Leipzig. Despite a narrow deficit of only 0.231 points on the Italian team, they were able to shine with a total number of points of 242.595 points. The gold and silver square went to Great Britain and Switzerland with 247.528 and 245.727 points, which illustrates the competition at a high level.

eeder qualified as a eighth in the all -around and demonstrated full potential on all devices, which earned him two finals. His precise exercises and the perfect landing have shown that he also earned a place in the international area.

The Olympic dream

Timo Eder not only convinced on the European stage, but also at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. There he demonstrated his strength and is now one of the most promising athletes in the region who also draw attention to themselves on an international parquet. Germany celebrated an impressive yield in the summer games, including several gold medals - a sign of its hard work and dedication to the sport.

The last games were a complete success for Germany, with numerous medals, including gold for swimmers Lukas Märtens as well as for the versatility riding Michael Jung and the Germans 3 × 3 basketball players. These successes show that the German team has a good hand and the expectations are high in future competitions.

With the entry in the Golden Book, Timo Eder is not only a local sports legend, but also inspiration for many young talents in Ludwigsburg and all of Germany.
