Leinfelden-Echterdingen: Large hand-in-hand donation run on July 26th!
Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Deutschland - On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the city of Leinfelden-Echterdingen will again be the scene of an important event: the hand-in-hand donation run in favor of the children's and youth hospice Stuttgart. This event takes place for the 13th time and promises both athletic ambition and social gathering. As the city of Leinfelden-Echterdingen emphasizes in its current report, the youth council is committed to supporting young runners aged 10 to 21, who can take numerous 400-meter rounds under their feet at this event.
The donation run extends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and participation is possible both on site and digitally. This is particularly advantageous for sporty ambitious runners who would like to compete in a larger competition. On site, the participants can expect a running route around the Filderhalle, where an extensive supporting program and catering options are offered outdoors. The route of around 400 meters is also ideal for teams and families who simply want to run.
special circumstances and registration
The event will take place in the Filderhalle this year, since the Sportzentrum Leinfelden is temporarily unusable due to renovation work. The motto "All of Leinfelden-Echterdingen will become a donation run" should mobilize the entire community. In order to take part in the event, interested parties can easily register online via the "Youth Run" platform. Registration takes place in just a few steps: First select the "Single registration" button, then specify the team assignment "Yes", choose the team name "Youth Run" and finally fill out the remaining registration data. The youth council sponsors 2 euros per round run, so that every step is not only a profit for personal fitness, but is also used for a good cause. All participants are also given the opportunity to track their back routes via an app.
community and commemoration
The hand-in-hand donation run not only has the goal of collecting funds for the children's and youth hospice, but also offers platforms for community and memories. Before the donation run, a memorial service for deceased children will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2024 in the chapel of the St. Vinzenz Hospital in Hanau. All mourners are invited here, regardless of the relationship with the deceased children. Memorial candles can be designed from 4:30 p.m. to create a space of commemoration and connection, as the German Children's Hospice Association informs.
So make sure that you mark July 26, 2025 in your calendar and become part of this wonderful initiative. Together we can make a valuable contribution to sick children and their families under the motto "Hand in hand".
