New construction project in Sindelfingen: 51 apartments for people in need!

Sindelfingen, Deutschland - Today, on June 27, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for an important new building project took place in Sindelfingen. Wohnstätten Sindelfingen GmbH plans the creation of 51 apartments, which are specially intended for socially disadvantaged and mentally ill people. The location of the project is located between Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Straße and Küblerstrasse. The completion of the apartments is targeted for summer 2027. The apartments are rented to the city of Sindelfingen as well as to the Fortis e.V. reported.

This is an investment volume of 12.6 million euros that flows into a six-storey house with 25 one to three-room apartments and a five-story living room with 26 apartments for supervised residential groups. The construction work is taken over by IMPLENIA Hochbau GmbH. The planning also provides for a joint underground car park with 18 parking spaces, which should help with the cost savings. In addition, barrier -free access and modern technology ensure contemporary living. A highlight are the extensive green flat roofs and the photovoltaic systems that support the project sustainably.

A total of 25 residential spaces for people with different mental illnesses are provided in the residential colleague. These are organized in four living groups and an outdoor living group. Each room is equipped with its own sink and a telephone connection, which allows individual design options and taking your own furniture. The community rooms, including sports and work rooms, support the residents in making their free time sensible. A large garden with a barbecue area and volleyball field also ensures a positive atmosphere.

Inclusion in focus

A central concern of this project is inclusion. The living space is designed in such a way that future residents can participate equally in social life. [Aktion Mensch] (https://www.aktion-mensch.de/ Inclusion/wohnen/wohnform-fuer-menschen-minschen-minche-wgs) emphasizes that aspects such as social origin, physical and intellectual constitution are taken into account when planning. These inclusive quarters not only relieve society, but also offer homely diversity. The trend is clearly towards quarters that promote coexistence of all generations and skills.

With this new building project in Sindelfingen, not only urgently needed living space is created, but also a clear step towards a more inclusive society. A project that will offer many people perspectives in the future and shows how important living together is for a harmonious community.
