A81 closure: start night work for new bridge near Böblingen!

In the night from Thursday, July 17th to Friday, July 18, drivers on the A81 near Böblingen and Sindelfingen towards Stuttgart have to expect a half -side closure. Between the Sindelfingen-Ost and Böblingen-Hulb junctions, the highway is blocked for preparatory construction work for the incorporation of a makeshift bridge. The existing bridge over Rudolf-Diesel-Straße in Sindelfingen and Wolfgang-Brumme-Allee in Böblingen has to be demolished to make room for the new construction projects. The closure begins on Thursday at 10 p.m. and ends on Friday at 5 a.m. href = "https://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten.de/inhalt.a-81-bieblingen-sindelfingen-autobahn-stuttgart-stored

The demolition of the current bridge is scheduled for the weekend from August 8th to 11th, whereby the highway is also blocked in both directions. A foundation for the center support of the transition structure is installed during the night blocking. The inlet of the new bridge from July 25th to 27th is being planned. From August 4th, traffic will be able to use the new bridge. Preparations for this comprehensive construction project have already started and construction work culminated this summer. Project manager Johannes Kuhn from Deges attaches particular importance to the quick implementation of these measures so that the flow of traffic is not unnecessarily disturbed.

comprehensive expansion of the A81

The Deges plans and coordinates the six -lane expansion of the A81 motorway. The current section has only two continuous lanes per direction and no side strip. The planned expansion comprises three lanes per direction and wide lane, which can be used for temporary release during peak times. BUND, Land, Land, Böblingen district and the cities of Böblingen and Sindelfingen have also agreed to cover the A81 over 850 meters in length, as on the deges------------- tos reading is.

The extensive construction measure in which a total of twelve bridge structures have to be torn down and rebuilt should be particularly highlighted. So far, ten of these buildings have already been in an advanced construction state. In addition, around 3.4 kilometers of noise barriers are built along the covering to protect residents from traffic noise. The entire route expansion is expected to be completed in May 2024.

  • planned measures:
  • Full connection of the Böblingen-Ost junction.
  • New structure of the junctions.
  • demolition of the old bridge in the course of the Böblinger/Sindelfinger Straße in December 2023.

The combination of structural extensions and noise protection measures shows that you have a good hand to modernize the traffic infrastructure in the region. The goal remains clear: to ensure quick and safe driving on the A81 while the construction work progresses. The continuous traffic should be disturbed as little as possible, and the hope is that drivers can benefit quickly from the hoped -for improvements.
