Film Festival in Leonberg: At Eye Level” brings generations together!
The 16th Generations European Film Festival is just around the corner and Leonberg is proud to be a part of this remarkable event. On November 19, 2025 at 4:30 p.m., visitors can expect a captivating film screening in the Eltingen children's and youth center. The award-winning film “At Eye Level”, directed by Evi Goldbrunner and Joachim Dollhopf, will be shown. The story revolves around ten-year-old Michi, who lives in a children's home after losing his mother and goes in search of his unknown father. An emotional topic that invites discussion of family, bullying, discrimination, tolerance and inclusion.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Jugendhaus Leonberg e.V., the city senior council and the Eltingen district work. The aim is to bring people of different age groups together and to promote cultural exchange, which is particularly important in today's times. Entry is free and barrier-free, and no registration is required. The recommended age group is also inviting: children aged 8 and over are welcome to immerse themselves in the moving story.
Event details
Admission begins at 4 p.m., with the young people from the children's and youth center offering snacks and drinks. After the film screening, the audience can look forward to an interactive discussion session in which experts from Lebenshilfe Leonberg e.V. and Atrio Leonberg e.V. will be available to answer questions in small groups. This allows viewers to reflect on what they have seen and discuss what inspires their impressions and thoughts on the topics covered.
The film festival is not only a platform for presenting stories that connect generations, but also an invitation to the community to get actively involved and to experience cultural participation. Leonberg is once again setting an example for diversity and integration and offering citizens the opportunity to become part of a shared experience.
Given the current societal challenges, it is encouraging that such initiatives are taking place. They not only strengthen togetherness, but also create space for important conversations about issues that concern us all. Be there and be inspired!
