On July 7, 2025, a considerable bike demo of the Greens took place, which led from Ditzingen to Gerlingen to Leonberg. Around 130 cyclists took part in this campaign, the motto of which was "three cities together for better connections". Around 350 million euros are planned for 2025, which is a noticeable reduction compared to previous years. A study shows that a doubling of bicycle traffic could also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. So there is still a lot of room for improvement to achieve the goals of the cycling plan.

The bike demo has not only taken up local topics, but also initiated a major discussion about the condition and future of the cycling infrastructure in Germany. Everyone involved agrees: more for the safety and promotion of bicycle traffic must be done!
