A contribution to environmental and health protection
Emissions from the transport sector account for around 20% of CO2 emissions in Germany. Many of these emissions come from short journeys that can easily be covered by bicycle. “Experts estimate that up to 30% of car journeys in metropolitan areas could be shifted to cycling,” according to informative information from Federal Environment Agency. Switching to bicycles not only means reducing emissions, but also improving the quality of life in our cities.
Cycling is not only environmentally friendly and saves space, but it also has some health benefits. Daily moderate exercise significantly reduces the risk of lifestyle diseases. In addition, a study shows that cyclists in the Netherlands are sick one day less on average than their non-cycling colleagues.
Creative actions and awards

In addition, the so-called city cycling stars, who get around exclusively by bike and public transport during the campaign, can win great prizes.
