Baden-Baden's specialist initiative: Success for refugee talents!
Baden-Baden, Deutschland - in Baden-Baden something is happening: The city recently launched a remarkable pilot project that bears the name "Future Monkeys-(from) Education for everyone". This initiative, which is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), aims not only to promote the integration of immigrant people, but also to counteract the acute shortage of skilled workers in the region. Good News 4 informs that this project organized a training fair in which around 90 refugees met employer.
What exactly does that mean? The companies had the opportunity to actively choose candidates, which significantly increased the chances of successful mediation. In fact, every second participant was drawn to one or more companies. Over half of the participants were able to establish valuable contacts with interested companies and initial placements and attitudes have already been made.
support for refugees
A particularly important aspect of this initiative is the voluntary mentoring team that supports the refugees. This team offers individual support and helps the participants to find their way around the job market. Such bridge builders should create a better connection between the young people with a migration background and the regional companies.
the ESF, as the most important financing and funding instrument of the EU for human investments, plays a central role in this project. According to BMAS , the ESF plus people supports a professional perspective and improve their career opportunities. This is done by various funding programs that are specifically designed for the needs such as the integration of migrants: inside and the support of disadvantaged groups.
goals and challenges
This project impressively shows how the ESF Plus, which is even more focused on a social Europe in the 2021-2027 funding period, can be implemented locally. Around 6.56 billion euros are available for Germany over the period mentioned to promote social projects. Driven by the aim of fighting poverty and promoting social inclusion, funds are provided that enable projects such as “future routes” to act successfully. More on this can be found on the website of the Esf .
summarized can be said: With this pilot project, the city of Baden-Baden makes a valuable contribution to the integration of refugees and to secure skilled workers-a real example that could make school. It is only to be hoped that similar approaches will also be taken up in other regions of Germany, because here is a clear advantage for everyone involved.
