HSG Konstanz: With fresh wind back into the promotion battle!

It will soon be time: the HSG Konstanz will be in the starting blocks for the coming season in the 3rd handball league Süd, which begins on August 23 and 24. After relegation to the third highest league, the team, led by managing director André Melchert, wants to play for the promotion places again. "We have the clear claim to be there in the upper table region," explains Melchert and emphasizes that the club is concerned with gaining more games and getting back to confidence.  Handball World reports that the direct return to the 2nd league is the clear goal.

In order to achieve this goal, the HSG does not rest on its laurels. With Lukas Dietrich, who was taken from Pfullingen, only an external newcomer found his way to Constance. With Konstantin Pauli, another talent from his own U21 is moving into the squad. Apart from these two new additions, seven players from the U21 have qualified for the extended team: the circular runners Xeno Müller and the left -handers Jan Stotten, the back room players Sven Iberl, Tim Enninghorst, Ruben Yerlikaya and the goalkeeper Noah Frensel and Adrian Lehmann.

strong squad and well -known opponents

The HSG can fall back on an experienced basic structure that has also proven itself last season. According to the club page HSG Konstanz , the majority of the regular players are preserved, which offers a solid basis for further success. The team will compete against some known faces. The opponents in the southern season include powerful teams such as the second representative of TVB Stuttgart, the Wolves Würzburg as well as the promoted SG Köndingen/Teningen and TV Erlangen-Bruck. These teams will surely draw their motivation from the fact that they want to take the relegated HSG Konstanz in the shortage.

The season of the 3rd division Süd is also formed by other teams such as HBW Balingen-Weilstetten II, HC Erlangen II and TSB Heilbronn-Horkheim. In view of the strong competition, it will be important for the HSG to get the first points right at the beginning of the season to get closer to the goal of a place.

The importance of youth

Another positive aspect that the HSG Konstanz emphasizes is the integration of young talents into the team. This is not only necessary to strengthen the squad, but also an opportunity for young players to gain and grow valuable experiences. In recent years, a number of self -plants have shown that they have what it takes to prove themselves in the 3rd league. With the reinforcement by fresh talents from their own youth, the club has strategically positioned itself in order to grow the challenges of the 2025/26 season.

The preparations are in full swing, and players are eager to improve their shape. As the developments in the league show, the 3rd division is not only about the struggle for points, but also about the development and promotion of future handball stars. Every step includes on the way back to the top Kicker .
