The countdown is running: until July 14, 2025, all small athletes have the opportunity to register for the 40th Freiburg Bambiniauf. Around 1000 children are already part of the party and bring a good bit of momentum into the domestic event landscape. The event will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, as part of the Freiburg tent music festival and Mundenhof zoo. The start numbers can be picked up from 3:30 p.m. The running starts are scheduled for school children and 5:32 p.m. for kindergarten children and toddlers with accompaniment. The distance is a pleasant 1,200 meters - here the fun and the joy of movement is clearly in the foreground.

Originally launched as a small idea as part of the Freiburg running night, this run today enjoys cross -generational popularity. The anniversary run is accompanied musically by the Universal Compressed Air Orchestra and the Füchsle of SC Freiburg will cheer on all participants. A small highlight is also waiting for every child: medal, a Bambini-T-shirt and a free drink are guaranteed rewards for the little runners after crossing the finish line.

Another beautiful aspect of the bambini run is the charitable side. For every participation in this event, a donation is provided by the Sparkasse to local non -profit organizations - a total of 1,500 euros each to the Child Protection Association in Freiburg, Waldkirch and Emmendingen. This not only celebrates the joy of running, but also strengthened the commitment to the community.

Freiburger Verkehrs AG also offers a practical service with special buses from the P+R parking lot in Munzingerstrasse from 3:30 p.m. Here the children drive free of charge, adults only pay 2 euros for the return trip.
