Aalen, Deutschland - in Aalen it's going to be really round! On July 12, 2025, the city center becomes a spectacular backdrop for the UCI Mountainbike Eliminator World Cup, an event that will attract not only professional drivers, but also many bicycle beginners. With the first start at 3:30 p.m., spectators have to look forward to exciting duels, where internationally renowned athletes start. Around 50 participants, including the German drivers Marion Fromberger and Simon Gegenheimer, will show their skills in a cheeky urban cross-country eliminator (XCE). The special thing about the competition format is that four drivers always start at the same time and the two fastest make it into the next round. It means driving tactically, using every curve and not leaving too much time! The course of the race also has some new obstacles in a storey, which will lead through the old town and will present the audience with the choice for some challenges. Over five obstacles, including stairs and tight curves, the drivers have to sprint.

The big names among the concerts: Heavysaurus opens on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Michael Schulte will rock the stage on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Thanks to the good organization by several hundred volunteers from Aalen clubs, the event will also offer a lot in terms of accessibility. The audience can look forward to a completely revised route that guarantees even more highlights and action. The paddock also finds its place at the city church, while the qualification format consists of training runs and heats. The two fastest drivers will continue here.

Particularly attractive: entry is free of charge for the racing event. The only exception are the evening concerts for the tickets. Live broadcasts in the ARD media library also make it possible not to miss anything from home. However, public television is left out this time.
