Closing ceremony at the NKG: 85 high school graduates celebrate their successful path!

At the Nicolaus-Kistner-Gymnasium (NKG) in Mosbach, another chapter was celebrated in the history of education. On July 5, 2025, the last oral exams of the 2025 Abitur year took place. Headmaster Jochen Herkert and the examination chairman Alexandra Meng-Emmerich proudly congratulated 85 high school graduates on their passed exams.

With an average of 2.09, it can be seen that the student body of this year was not only diligently learning, but also brings the necessary talent. Particularly impressive: Almost 45 percent of high school graduates were able to reach a grade of less than 2.0. There are five happy high school graduates among the top outliers who have achieved the maximum of 1.0: Maria Eckert, Miro Kammerer, Jan Kirchgeßner, Jana Maßholder and Sinja Morsch. This not only makes a particularly good impression on future universities, but also speaks for the high quality of educational offers at the NKG.

The worthings for the teaching staff are particularly noteworthy. Jochen Herkert and the deputy headmistress Elvira Horvath thanked the teachers for their tireless efforts, who prepared the students for this important phase of life. An official farewell of high school graduates is on Friday, July 11, 2025, in the old Mälzerei in Mosbach, which will surely become an unforgettable experience for the graduates.

The NKG is not only known for its excellent academic achievements, but also for its holistic approach in education. The modern high school has a long tradition and combines progress with tradition. A committed college and current pedagogical concepts guarantee that the pupils feel comfortable and encouraged individually. The NKG promotes the skills in digital media and even offers a bilingual train for teaching in English.

Education as the key to the future

in Germany, as the data of the Federal Statistical Office show, education plays a crucial role in individual development, business and society. A good school leaving certificate not only improves the chances on the job market, but is also a cornerstone for social participation. The high school diploma has established itself as an increasingly desired conclusion, and the academic quota is continuously increasing. The results of the NKG show that many young people are willing to pursue high educational goals and also provide excellent achievements.

The developments at the Nicolaus-Kistner-Gymnasium reflect the trend in Germany, where more and more young people are aiming for a university entrance qualification. Despite some challenges, such as the difference in the level of education between different years and social groups, the current year of the NKG proves that everything is possible with diligence and the right support. It remains to be hoped that this positive development will continue and that successfully trained young people will shape the future of the region.
