Wertheim, Deutschland - In Wertheim, it will soon be colorful and glittering! From July 26, 2025, the glass museum opens its doors to two fascinating special exhibitions. These will be seen and promise by January 6, 2024 not only to inspire lovers of the artistically designed glasses.
The first show is entitled "Sparkling Dreams - Glittering Glass Pearl Casting" and addresses a proud 100 years of fashion jewelry made of glass. Here, visitors can look forward to three significant donations. Particularly noteworthy is the collection of the Döbbelin family, which presents various model pieces by the renowned company Prade. The history of the glass industry
The second exhibition entitled "75 Years of Glass Industry Wertheim" is also a real eye -catcher. She celebrates the year 1950, which marked the starting signal for industrial glass production in Wertheim. The exhibition impressively conveys that Wertheim is an important center of the German laboratory glass industry. Here, exhibits from a total of 18 glass companies based in Wertheim are presented, which deal with both laboratory and textile glass fibers. During the exhibitions, the glass museum usually remains open from Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Exceptions confirm the rule: On July 13, 2025, the museum had to close due to personnel bottlenecks. What does admission cost? Adults pay 7 euros, while groups of ten or ten people receive a discount to 6 euros per person. Pupils, students and trainees also come to the museum for a pleasant 3 euros. The family card, which includes up to two adults and three children for 14 euros, is also exciting. And for the little ones under the age of 6, admission is even free, unless they are special children's tours.
Interested parties must register for tours in good time-either by phone at 09342/6866 or by email. If you adhere to the prices for group tours, the flat rate for adults is 70 euros and only 35 euros for students and kindergarten children.
