Construction work in public transport: Stadtbahn lines S41 and S42 are temporarily eliminated!

In the region between Neckarsulm and Bad Friedrichshall, passengers will have to expect restrictions on light rail traffic in the coming weeks. The lines S41 and S42 are partially discontinued due to construction work. The DB Infrago has announced that a track for the construction of the new Bad Friedrichshall Süd and a connecting track will be blocked in July and early August. This leads to a single -track company, which is already very busy through regional trains from other providers and freight traffic. AVG reports that the light rail lines are no longer available in the following periods:

  • Friday, July 11 (11:00 p.m.) until Monday, July 14 (5:00 a.m.)
  • Friday, July 18 (11:00 p.m.) until Monday, July 21 (5:00 a.m.)
  • Friday, July 25th (11:00 p.m.) until Monday, August 4 (3:00 a.m.)

In these periods, the light rail traffic between Kaufland and Bad Friedrichshall is interrupted. The city railways, which come from Sinsheim and Mosbach, end in Bad Friedrichshall and turn there, while trains from Heilbronn Hbf and Willy-Brandt-Platz also end at the Kaufland stop. The replacement traffic by bus is set up between Hans-Rieser-Straße and Bad Friedrichshall, but there is no transition to replacement traffic at the Kaufland final stop. Here it is advisable to switch to the regional traffic of the Sweg and Arverio, especially in the section Bad Friedrichshall - Neckarsulm - Heilbronn Hbf. However, Harmonie Stadtbahn sections are still served twice, with the departure times have changed, like the H3NV added .

information offers for passengers

The passengers concerned are asked to consider the information opportunities at the stops in order not to miss any changes in the timetable. If there are short -term disorders, it is advisable to get in touch with the responsible transport company. The following contacts are available for questions about rail transport:

With regard to the general traffic situation, there is also a topic of discussion about the future offers in local public transport. Among other things, the federal government calls for a follow-up offer to the 9-euro ticket and fundamental improvements in public transport. A nationwide 365 euro annual ticket is one of the suggestions that are in the room. The BUND emphasizes that the sustainable mobility turning and reaching of the climate goals require comprehensive financing of public transport, as on its website is explained .

During this time of changes and challenges, passengers can trust the remaining regional connections and the expansion plans, which should ensure more connections and better clocks in public transport.
