Greens Heidelberg choose new board: future -proof decisions!
Heidelberg, Deutschland - On July 14, 2025, the members of the Heidelberg Greens gathered for the annual general meeting. An important date in the party's calendar, because here are the board elections that take place every two years. This year Rike Greeb and Beate Deckwart-Boller were once again elected as district chairwoman, a sign of continuity and trust within the district association. Tobias Ostheim remains in his function as a treasurer and continues to ensure the financial interests of the Greens in Heidelberg. The idea of Florian Kollmann, who as a candidate for the direct mandate in Heidelberg, was also particularly interesting.
In her speech, Greeb emphasized the relevance of the upcoming state election in 2026 for Baden-Württemberg. She clearly spoke out for Cem Özdemir as Prime Minister and emphasized how important it is to actively work on her agenda in the coming months.membership and innovations
The importance of the commitment of all members was also clearly expressed by the second chairman, Beate Deckwart-Boller. She appealed to everyone present, to actively contribute and further promote the participation in the district association. The extended board is now supported by Jiska Dannenberger, Monika Gonser, Berit Rall, Christopher Marker, Philipp Rothkirch and Emil Schenkyr.
A look at the changes on the board also shows some departures: Theresia Bauer, Burkhard Margies and Lukas Weber have decided not to be available for a candidacy after many years of commitment. The district association thanked them for their tireless efforts and the many hours they invested in the party.
look ahead
The Heidelberg Greens face important challenges, not only locally, but also with regard to the upcoming elections. The hope is to inspire and mobilize the voters with new impulses and a strong board. The developments in the Schwerin district association, where a new board was elected, show that new members can also play a major role. There, new speakers and a treasurer were elected who also rely on climate protection and democratic participation. Such currents can be observed in many parts of Germany and underline a trend on which the Heidelberg Greens also want to build up.
With a committed team and clear goals, the Greens in Heidelberg go into the political future. The frequency of general meetings that offer numerous opportunities for participation is an important step to promote a lively and democratic party. Also the view outside the box to other district associations illustrates that one can stand out strongly for a sustainable future.
