early professional orientation

The "Ferienonjob" program is one of several initiatives that aim to help young people with professional orientation. Another example is the event "Ferienonjob Pentecost", which took place from May 27th to 29th, 2024. Here 15 young people were able to discover the world of renewable energies and sustainable future opportunities. This happened in cooperation with partners such as Stadtwerke Heidelberg GmbH, the Heidelberg Energy Cooperative and many others. Here, too, pedagogical support and meals were on the program. The participation fee was 45 euros for three days, while the summer program lasted five days and cost 85 euros. About hddienste.de Information about these events is available.

Such programs are particularly important in order to offer young people a practical professional orientation. Participation in various topics and professional fields enables you to discover your strengths and find suitable professions. According to the Professional orientation program of the BMBF, the participants have the opportunity to test their skills through various tasks both alone and in groups. You can also gain practical experience and in the end you get a certificate that documents your discovered strengths.

a holistic approach

The certificate is not only confirmation of participation, but also supports future applications by increasing the chances of an internship. The participants themselves choose professions that fit their strengths and receive a comprehensive insight into different professional fields, including construction, media, health and many more. So the young people are not only conveyed something for life, they also get to know the joy in work.

These programs are an important step on the way to the professional future and help to discover talents and interests at an early stage. After all, a good hand for the later choice of career always pays off. So it remains to be hoped that many young people will take the chance that offers them "holiday anniversary" and maybe lay the foundation for their professional career!
