New free workshops: Build sustainable in Baden-Württemberg!
In autumn and winter 2025 there are exciting events in Baden-Württemberg on the subject of sustainable building. The Ministry of National Development and Housing has announced additional workshops for digital planning tools! BBW-sustainable building Baden-Württemberg. These workshops offer both beginners and experienced users valuable information and practical support in the world of sustainable construction. Baden-Württemberg reports that the visit of the all-day presence workshop is recognized by the Chamber of Architects.
The entry-level workshops are ideal for everyone who wants to familiarize themselves with the N! BBW Internet portal. Here the participants get an insight into the technical content of the sustainability criteria. The workshops take place both online and in presence, with appointments that extend over several months:
- 3. September 2025 (9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) - Online
- 24. September 2025 (9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.) - Presence
- 22. October 2025 (9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) - Online
deeper insights and exchange of experiences
For those who have already created an N! BBW project, there are special project and themed workshops. These are aimed at users who have specific questions and want to exchange experiences in smaller groups. The participants have the opportunity to bring their own project documents and to work on them with the support of the speaker. The following dates for these workshops have already been determined:
- 12. November 2025 (9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.): Project workshop (presence)
- 3. December 2025 (9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.): Theme workshop "Health and environmental building materials" (online)
These intensive workshops are not only free of charge, they also promote the exchange of expert knowledge in the industry. Another plus is that all events are organized by the State Institute for the Environmental Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart.
sustainability in construction
The trend towards sustainable building also has a digital dimension. As the BIM Germany , Building Information Modeling (BIM) plays a central role in the digital transformation of the construction system. BIM optimizes the planning processes, particularly in timber construction, which is very popular due to its climate -friendly properties, and ensures that materials are used more efficiently. Since wood is considered renewable resources, the combination of sustainable material use and digital planning methods is of crucial importance for achieving our climate goals.
In addition, it can be seen that the increasing demand for wood also requires new planning techniques. The research projects, such as those taking place at the Technical University of Munich, show that linking BIM and timber construction leads to a reduction in errors and better material efficiency. Previous methods such as parametric modeling and automated manufacturing planning can help to cope with the challenges of an increasingly complex construction industry.
With these workshops and the new digital approaches for sustainable building, Baden-Württemberg is at the head of an urgently needed transformation in the construction industry. Do not miss this opportunity and register for one of the workshops!
