A wonderful summer day in Schorndorf attracted numerous visitors to the traditional “Long Table” of the Awo, which took place on Sunday on the Upper Market Square. From early morning to mid-afternoon, the venue was lively and had a positive atmosphere. How ZVW reported that the crowd was so big that the organizers led by table manager Renate Frank even had to provide ten additional benches. The high number of visitors is a clear sign of the great interest in this popular event.
The Long Table took place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offered an extensive culinary offering. The guests could look forward to hearty schnitzel with potato salad, delicious Indian vegetarian food from Tafel chef Jasbir Singh as well as coffee and cake. All proceeds go entirely to Tafel Schorndorf, making the event not only an enjoyable experience, but also an important support for the local community. Mayor Bernd Hornikel took over the patronage and was actively involved in the food distribution, which gave the event an additional personal touch. The Awo would like to thank all helpers and supporters, without whom this festival would not be possible.

The Lange Tafel is an integral part of Schorndorf's event calendar and attracts locals and guests alike year after year.
