Confusion about traffic management: B27 construction site causes trouble!

The traffic situation in Bietigheim-Bissingen is currently causing a lot of conversation on social media. The new traffic tours on the B27 and the adjacent roads have caused confusion among residents. As bietigheimer newspaper are reported In particular, the closures that bend to the left towards Metterzimmern and straight ahead to the Japangarten parking lot from Schwarzwaldstraße is hotly discussed.

The measure was launched to keep the main traffic axes smooth and avoid traffic jams. Traffic is now led over the Auwiesenbrücke to the Schwarzwaldstraße, the grotz tunnel and the B27. A bypass route leads to the Hillerschule via Karl-May-Allee, and those responsible hope that this is alleviated to relieve the traffic jam problem on the B27. Nevertheless, the traffic light circuit remains under observation, and possible reabsuits could be necessary in the near future.

The construction site situation

But not only drivers face challenges. The construction work itself also hits waves. The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Occupational Medicine clarifies that occupational safety must always be considered when planning construction projects. This includes coordination and communication between the various actors on the construction site to ensure safe work.

The currently large construction site on the B27 is based on the merging of several construction projects. Originally, the RPS only wanted to renovate the B27 road surface for three weeks, but by integrating the municipal utilities that want to lay channels and district heating, the entire construction site was interpreted for a total of five months.

A look at the numbers

The large construction site is expected to last until December and should be largely completed before the start of school in autumn. A second construction phase that extends from the train station to Geisinger Strasse is also merged. In addition, another construction site on the L1125 between Sachsenheim and Bietigheim-Bissingen is tackled, whereby the work is to begin outside the holiday season. Around four months are planned for this civil engineering work, whereby the current season is considered cheap due to the still low rainfall.

construction phase
duration
entire large construction site B27 6 months (until December)
civil engineering L1125 approx. 4 months
Start of the L1125 block after the holidays

All in all, the RPS is satisfied with the course of the construction site. The traffic flows continuously, even if the speeds are slower than usual. In view of the circumstances that the construction site operation brings with it, it can be hoped that the planned measures will soon have an effect. Because despite the inconvenience, clear rules are announced to protect and for the safety of all involved, such as BMAS emphasized.
