While the police have a decline in crimes, the desire for further security measures is not to be dismissed. In 2024, the local police authority registered a lower number of falls at the train station compared to other urban areas, such as the city center and the districts of books and biteingen. This gives rise to hope that the security situation has stabilized.

But what does that mean for the emotional world of citizens: inside? The city administration has determined that the conditions for legally permissible video surveillance are not met. Nevertheless, there are considerations of how the subjective feeling of security of the population could be increased. There are two suggestions in the room: the establishment of lighting concepts for the train station and the establishment of a working group called "Security Partnership Bahnhof Bietigheim-Bissingen", which should come together regularly. Representatives of the police, German railway and other local institutions could participate.
