Art highlights: Form and Trace in Filderstadt invites you to discover!

In Filderstadt, the art lovers can expect an exciting event: The exhibition "Form and Trace" will open on Sunday, June 15th, at 11:15 a.m. in the municipal gallery. The two regional artists Jochen Warth and Helmut Anton Zirkelbach present their works and invite you to discover. While Warth, a 73-year-old steel sculptor from Nehren near Tübingen, introduces his fascinating sculptures, the 62-year-old etching specialist Zirkelbach gives an insight into his profound prints. Both artists come from the Swabian Alb and have known each other for 30 years.

Visitors can not only look forward to art, but also to a musical background. The guitar duo Ella and Arne Dingler will accompany the vernissage acoustically. The mayor Falk-Udo Beck will welcome the people present, followed by an introduction by cultural scientist Florian Stegmaier. Entry is free, so everyone is cordially invited to be infected by the creative atmosphere.

The artists in detail

Jochen Warth is known for his large -format steel sculptures, which are particularly impressive due to their materiality. He himself describes the creative process as a mix of creative thinking and craftsmanship. "My sculptures should surprise," he explains. With titles that are often open to interpretations, such as "pitchfork or wing", he gives the viewer space for his own thoughts and meanings.

Helmut Anton Zirkelbach, on the other hand, communicates about his etchings. While his titles are often very detailed, he conveys deeper messages with work such as "inside Motten tree trunks shine". Zirkelbach sees his figurative representations as a "school of seeing" that is supposed to encourage drawing skills. In addition to figurative works, he also devotes abstract compositions, such as the series "Allerlegrau" in different shades of gray.

The exhibition can be seen from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the municipal gallery. The opening times are:

• Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
