On Thursday, June 11, 2025, unknown perpetrators in Sersheim, in the district of Ludwigsburg, have willfully scratched at least 35 cars. The police estimate the damage at around 200,000 euros, which certainly ensures excitement and concern among the drivers concerned. This crime was celebrated between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in several streets, including Breslauer Straße, Ringstraße and Hohe Strasse. Well -known brands such as Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Renault and Nissan are affected. Initially, only 30 damaged vehicles were reported, but this number quickly rose to 35, which makes the dimension of the incident clear.

The investigation that from Report of the Federal Criminal Police Office emphasizes that the proportion of male perpetrators is disproportionately high. Around three quarters of the young suspects are male, which indicates deeply rooted social and psychological challenges.

Against this background, the need for increased prevention work is once again emphasized. Perhaps a better offer in child and youth welfare could help here to prevent such incidents as in Sersheim in the future and show young people ways how they can shape their lives without criminal behavior.
