On the first weekend in July, Böblingen becomes a celebration mile! With a colorful program, the city festival will transform the city center into a living stage for music, enjoyment and encounters from July 4 to July 6, 2025. The official starting shot will be given on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with the traditional barrel tapping on the market square. A special highlight this year is the 40th anniversary of the city twinning with Alba, which will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with a ceremony on the partner city mile. Mayor Alberto Gatto from Alba is among the guests of honor. This special occasion is musically framed by a soul and pop ensemble of the Krems music school when the dance groups "Open" from Alba and "Munes Crew" from Krems show their arts.

The city festival also has a lot to offer: from Swabian classics to international specialties, visitors can feast what it takes. The mobile green room on Bahnhofstrasse, which acts as a chillout area, is new this year. For the fans of the shopping pleasure: On Sunday, July 6th, there will be a Sunday open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in which the retailers present special promotions.

Of course, the security of the guests is also very important. The police, fire brigade and emergency services will be present during the festival. However, it is important to note some road closures: Poststrasse, the Alba Bridge, Klaffensteinstrasse and parts of Marktstrasse are not navigable from Friday morning until Sunday evening. For drivers who want to go to the city, there is a ray of hope: Between Friday 5 p.m. and Sunday 11:59 p.m., parking in the parking garages "Congress Hall" and "Marktplatz/Schloßberg" is free.
