60 members celebrate ten years of live music: anniversary of Groove Tonight!

The music scene in Weil der Stadt can be happy: The "Groove Tonight" support association celebrates its 10th anniversary. Eric Richter, the initiator of this project, has set itself the task of bringing high-quality live acts into the region. The association is known beyond the city limits and currently has around 60 members who contribute to the financing of the concerts through an annual fee of 90 euros. Entry to the events never costs more than 18 euros, which makes the events attractive to many music lovers. Without the support of the association, such concerts would not be economically unacceptable, because the costs could not even be covered with 100 regular visitors, such as the Stuttgarter News report.

"Groove Tonight" organizes an average of eight concerts a year, which are always well attended. Eric Richter is not only the head behind the club, but also as an event manager for urban events. A remarkable point: bands now apply independently at "Groove Tonight". Judge has a list of 20 to 30 bands that he would like to bring to Weil of the city. Although he does not play an instrument himself, he has a great interest in music-especially in program bands such as Genesis and Pink Floyd.

celebrations for the anniversary

To celebrate the anniversary, a free concert will take place under the town hall on June 14th. The band Stereometria, one of the most popular groups in the region, will appear there. The line-up promises top-class: with Julia Graff, a talented singer/songwriter, Jan Sinapius, an up-and-coming guitarist, and a first-class rhythm team consisting of Julius Watzl, Thorsten Kampa and Markus Rottacack are offered a varied program. Sometimes newly arranged cover versions are on the plan, mixed with the distinctive sound of rock, radio and blues, as can be read on the official website of "Groove Tonight" ( groove-tonight.de ).

In addition, a large gala is planned for September 13, within the framework of which the Rusty Rose Trio and the Second-Sun Bigband will occur. This gala will surely become a highlight in the event calendar and shows how alive the music scene is in Weil der Stadt.

support of the live music scene

The promotion of live music is not only a commitment to culture, but also offers a platform for local talents to present itself. Offers such as Initiative Music support such undertaking and help to continue to bloom in Germany. The use of Eric Richter and his team of "Groove Tonight" is an excellent example of how to strengthen the music scene on site with commitment and a good feeling for the right artists.
