Final sprint in the city street event: do we crack the 25 tons of CO²?

Rheinstetten, Deutschland - The big city cycling is currently rolling in Rheinstetten and a full program is offered! In the third and last week of the campaign, which ends on July 19, 2025, the goal is, according to Rheinstetten, clearly: 25 tons of CO² should be avoided. With over 17 tons that have been saved so far, the participants are on an excellent way. The city's jubilee year, which celebrates the 50th anniversary, 25 years of city survey and 20 years of a large district town, gives the whole thing a special coat of paint.

The campaign is very popular, and the number of participants also speak for themselves. What could be nicer than enjoying the fresh air by bike while doing something for the environment at the same time? According to Federal Environment Agency, city cycling motivates people to cover everyday paths by bike and to experience the many advantages that cycling brings. As part of this initiative, which has been organized since 2008, around 300,000 people from almost 900 municipalities in Germany were actively cycled last year alone.

a big festival for the participants

If you diligently collect kilometers as a cyclist, you will not only be rewarded by the good feeling, but can also look forward to a small festival on September 21, 2025. At the opening of the Citizens' and Cultural House, Fassbrause and Frebier, provided that the 25 tons of CO² are cracked on time. The participants still have the opportunity until July 26, 2025 to enter their kilometers across the city cycling app or the participant account.

For questions about city cycling, such as to enter the kilometers, the office of the municipal council is available on 07242 / 9514-516 or by email. Sabine Seeger and her team look forward to feedback and wish everyone a lot of fun collecting kilometers!

a step in the right direction

The competition is not only an occasion to become active, but also shows how important a good cycling infrastructure is. After all, local politicians also contribute to experiencing the cycling conditions in their city themselves and possibly interference points such as potholes via the Radar platform! to report. The initiative is taken seriously not only by the participants, but also by the municipality - because it takes clear steps towards a more bike -friendly city.

Clear: Anyone who integrates cycling into everyday life benefits from movement, fresh air and flexibility, without being on the go without a traffic jam and search for a parking space. Sustainable mobile and do something for the climate - that is the goal of city cycling.

in this sense: on the saddles, done, go! Take part and support Rheinstetten on the way to a healthier and more environmentally friendly life!
