The PS Karlsruhe Lions are in the starting blocks for the new season and are already planning their squad intensively. A central newcomer is the 25-year-old Kilian Binapfl, who moves from Phoenix Hagen to Karlsruhe. The young player knows the new coach Demond Greene, because both have already played basketball together at FC Bayern Munich. Binapfl has great ambitions and wants to find its best form in Karlsruhe. "I look forward to the challenge here and to help the team be successful," said Binapfl optimistically.

Currently the Lions are represented with four players in the squad: In addition to captain Julian Albus and Maurice Pluskota, Melvin Jostmann and the freshly baked newcomer Kilian Binapfl are also there. Nevertheless, there will also be some departures: Lukas Herzog, Abu Kigab, Michael Miller, Joel Mätynen, O’Showen Williams and Dennis Tunstall will no longer be part of the team.

The PS Karlsruhe Lions, who are committed in the Barmer 2nd Bundesliga ProB, have given a clear focus on the development of young talents in recent years. This is also evident in the successful cooperation with the basketball boarding school Speyer (to), which is known across the city limits. The first team of the BIS, which plays under the name Ahorn Camp to Baskets Speyer, has earned an excellent reputation in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and made it in the last two seasons until the promotion rounds to the ProA.

The up to Baskets Speyer are even number one in the Palatinate and are among the best 50 men's teams in Germany. A special view is on the U14 team, which would like to mix up the Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland Oberliga in the coming year, while the U12 selection even plans to win at the Rhineland-Palatinate Championships in 2024.
