Proactive measures in the event of violence in schools are currently more in demand than ever. In this context, it is important that schools set up crisis teams to ensure violence and crisis prevention. According to berlin.de, there are clear guidelines on the formation of such teams that are responsible, among other things, for the implementation of concepts in acute cases and for aftercare in emergencies. The need for crisis teams is now becoming more visible all over the world, because schools are not immune to being faced with dangerous situations.

The crisis team as a preventive measure

A crisis team that consists of 5 to 8 people can not only intervene in acute emergencies, but also take preventive measures. This ranges from regular training to the establishment of communication channels and the maintenance of contacts to external partners. With us in Baden-Württemberg, closer cooperation between schools and police authorities could help recognize and prevent such incidents at an early stage

Pupils and teachers of the Wessenberg school can breathe a sigh of relief despite the critical situation. The prompt reaction of the police and the school management prevented worse things.
