Ulm in organic flash fever: Discover the biodiversity!

In the botanical garden of the University of Ulm, a very special event will be facing the coming week. From June 14 to 22, 2025, the nationwide bioblitz will take place, in which citizens can actively contribute to the recording of wild plants, animals and fungi. The goal is to make biodiversity visible in the botanical gardens and the garden invites all nature lovers to do so. As the IDW-Online reports, the free app inaitist should be used to document and determine your own observations.

The botanical garden, which is considered one of the most species -rich gardens in German -speaking countries on a proud 28 hectares, has already documented over 1100 wild species by the app. Ulm is currently taking second place in Europe in the number of observations, while Frankfurt is in first place. In order to reward the commitment of the participants, awards for the most active observers are distributed inside, the best photos and the most spectacular observations.
