On Saturday, June 14th, the Einsteinsaal of the Maritim Hotel in Ulm will become the setting for a highly awaited fighting evening under the title "Ulm Boxt". From 6 p.m. it will go down properly. The spectators can look forward to a total of nine exciting fights, including the main fight between Simon Zachenhuber from Germany and Leonardo di Stefano from Spain in the super middleweight. Another highlight is the title duel in the light heavyweight between the Giengener Fredi Knorpp and Kushtrim Tahirukaj.
A very special focus is on the two young talents Kadu and Kovan Kaidy, who will celebrate their debut in professional boxes that evening. Kadu Kaidy, who won the title at the German University Championships in the box last year, goes into a 6-round fight at his own request, while a 4-round debut is usually common. The challenge does not seem to be terror because he has already brings impressive experiences from his previous career.

Kadu Kaidy, a student at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) in the industrial engineering course, has made a name for itself rapidly. He is not only the first student of Ulm who won the title "German University Master" in boxing in the half -heavy weight class (80 kg), but has already established itself as a fixture in boxing. In a gripping finale, he prevailed against the six -time Lower Saxony master Brandon Bojani. His passion and commitment to sport are undeniable, and he describes the title as a result of hard work that motivates him to continue to file his skills.
kaidy even sees this title more important than its previous championship titles from Baden-Württemberg. Despite the challenges of reconciling and boxing, he has created a defined training structure and is not afraid to sacrifice free time. His goal is clear: he wants to successfully complete his studies and at the same time be prepared for upcoming fights to cause a sensation internationally.
boxing at universities - a trend for decades
boxing as a university sport has a long tradition that dates back to 1927, interrupted only through times of war. The official German university championships have been held annually since 2003, in which an average of 100 to 120 boxers fight for the title. The events follow the provisions of the German Boxing Sports Association (DBV) and are led by DBV fighting judges.
The championships offer a platform for young talents and the opportunity to prove themselves on an international floor. The Studierenden World Championships also take place every two years, which are organized by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) and in which boxing is also integrated. Another event that ADH-Trophy promotes popular sports among students and has been taking place at changing university locations since 2017.
