Ulm, Deutschland - The city of Ulm can shine with an exciting new chapter, because the Museum Ulm has started to actively shape the future. After the museum has been closed since April 2023 to be extensively rebuilt by 2029, the signs are on change. The renovation aims to develop the museum into a modern "third place", promotes encounter, exchange and cultural participation.

A joint project with a Berlin architecture firm that stopped for the first time on Tuesday at the weekly market in Ulm Weststadt. As a result, the museum remains visible and accessible during the closure.

The comprehensive renovation and renovation work started in September 2023 and will gradually be completed by 2029. A total of four out of seven buildings of the museum ensemble are renewed. In order to capture the progress, a video series with Dr. Stefanie Dathe, Milica Jeremic, Daniel Pfeffer and Melanie Struwe produced to give a look behind the scenes. In the meantime, interested parties can visit the HFG archive, which remains open. An exhibition on the architecture teaching of the Ulm (HFG) University of Architecture in cooperation with the TU Darmstadt and the Goethe University Frankfurt is currently being presented here.
