Tour Ginkgo rolls through the Ostalb district: donations for sick children!

Lorch, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland - It starts in a few days: The traditional tour Ginkgo cycles through the Ostalbkreis and Rems-Murr-Kreis. From July 3 to July 5, cyclists will cover between 80 and 100 kilometers every day to draw attention to how important support for seriously ill children is. The tour, which was launched by the inspiring Christiane Eichenhofer, not only has a sporty character, but also pursues a great humanitarian goal.

Christiane Eichenhofer, who founded the foundation of the same name in 1992, knows from his own experience what Children go through. At the age of five, she fell ill with leukemia and fought against the disease for twelve long years. After her recovery, she decided to help other children in similar situations. The Christiane Eichenhofer Foundation has set itself the task of supporting seriously ill children by providing financial resources for treatments and necessary aid measures. A motto that she wears deep in the heart: "We can only help if they help us".

The tour ginkgo in detail

The tour Ginkgo is more than just a bike tour; It symbolizes resistance and willpower, similar to the robust ginkgo tree. This year, prominent faces such as Iris Kurz, Michael Gaedt and Richy Müller can also be found among the participants. As every year, there is a fixed "driver strain" who likes to be there again, as well as many new drivers who accept the challenge.

The event begins at the Agnes von Hohenstaufenschule in Schwäbisch Gmünd and leads through picturesque landscapes over several stages. On the way there is a stop in Mutlangen, where a colorful program with dance performances, a primary school choir and various stalls are waiting for the participants. The municipalities and companies along the route also have a heart for the good cause and eagerly donate.

where the donations flow

The collected funds will be forwarded to the colorful district of Schwäbisch Gmünd, Aalen and Rems-Murr this year, which are directly commissioned to support children and their families. The foundation was able to collect considerable sums over the years and also distribute them to various medical facilities, including to the Stuttgart children's clinic and the aftercare clinic Tannheim. A proof that the tour ginkgo leaves a lasting impression.

Interested parties can donate not only to the Christiane-Eichenhofer Foundation during the tour, but also regardless of the event. Each individual contributes to the fact that children in need receive the support and help they need to become healthy.
