Lamathea 2025 award winner: Heidenheim Naturt Theater celebrated!
Heidenheim, Deutschland - Today the time has come: The winners of the State Amateur Theater Prize (Lamathea) Baden-Württemberg 2025 have been determined! This award honors the great achievements of amateur theaters and their contribution to the cultural diversity in the region. The prize is awarded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Art and is considered the only price of a state government for amateur theater and civic engagement in Germany. Schwäbische reports that this time 151 applications from all over Baden-Württemberg have been received, from which an independent jury of specialist jury in six sectors nominated.
Savings and award winners
The best productions were awarded in a total of six categories:
- interior theater: amateurtheater Die Koralle e.V. (Bruchsal) with "or - Loriot".
- theater with children and adolescents: Young theater of the Waldbühne (Sigmaringendorf) with "Last Hope Switzerland".
- open -air theater: natural theater Heidenheim e.V. (Heidenheim) with "Annie".
- dialect theater: Deuchelrieder Theater e.V. (Wangen im Allgäu) with "Grattlerblues".
- theater with a socio -cultural background: Performance Theater Heidelberg e.V.
- doll and figure theater: Theater Kübel like Eimer (Inzigkofen-Vilsingen) with "Mach (K) a theater!".
Each of these categories is endowed with 2,000 euros, and a special prize for life's work and civic engagement goes to Ulrike and Peter M. Wolko from the theater "Die Trauge" in Karlsruhe.
The solemn framework
The prices will be awarded on October 5, 2025 in the course of a four -day award winner festival in Heidenheim. Art state secretary Arne Braun emphasized the great importance of amateur theaters for cultural life, because they are often across generations and make a significant contribution to strengthening cultural, history and home awareness in the regions. MWK pointing out that the organization of the competition is adopted by the State Association of Amateurtheater Baden-Württemberg, and the state-owned Toto-Lotto GmbH Half of the prize money.
Registration and outlook
The application deadline for the next state amateur theater award ends on April 1, 2025. All non-professional ensembles of the performing art in Baden-Württemberg can apply as long as their productions had its premiere between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2025. Membership in the state association Amateurtheater Baden-Württemberg e.V. is not required for this. Baden-Württemberg emphasizes that the last selection for doll and figure theater took place in October 2023 in order to evaluate the quality of the applications in a live Darbet.
